Painting the Whole Town Red

Snow or no snow, the one activity that never fails to engage the Frogs is painting.

Today, we decided to combine the two!

We established a few ground rules; yes to spraying snow, no to spraying each other.

The Frogs managed to cover quite a bit of ground.

The bigger kids on the other side of the playground fence watched the Frogs intently.

When we were done, we let them borrow our spray bottles.

Next up? Yellow.

2011 Curriculum So Far...

Well, there has been one massive, unavoidable, overarching theme for 2011 so far...

SNOW.

Lots, and lots, and lots of snow.

It used to be up to our waists. Now it's up to our chests...

Of course, if you're light enough, you can just shuffle along on top...

Of course, sometimes that doesn't work out so well.

We have had a lot of snow days. When we have been here, we have worked on keeping everyone happy indoors.

Sometimes that involves making the indoors look like outdoors, only easier to comtrol...

...and much warmer!

We've added an area where children can bring a little music into these long, cold, winter days, and amped up our kitchen area with lots of homemade 'comfort food'.

Tortellini...

...Tea...

...and Pasta!

(Apparently, not everyone is pleased with our exclusively vegetarian options.)
